Color selection for interiors can be daunting task for many.  My take is that we all have our own color sensibility.  I can actually relate to past experiences, people I have met, and things I have eaten by associating colors.  Some colors give me a sense of serenity, some urgency, or even the wrong color combination can actually make me feel ill!

This weekend my family and I had some time on our hands so we decided to compare our birthday colors from my  Pantone Colorstrology deck.  Packaged in individual color selectors for each month, colors are compiled with Pantone based on a best selling book written by Michelle Bernhardt.  She is a respected practitioner of the intuitive arts, astrology, metaphysics and healing.  According to Colorstrology “your birthday color is the key that connects your inner and outer world.  It resonnates with the qualities that you have within. It’s purpose is to align you with your essential self while supporting you on your life’s journey”.

I am a truly a skeptic when it comes to astrology but many of the descriptions were on right point when it came to my Colorstrology birthday color and those of my family! My birthday color is Forever Blue (pantone 16-4019), which ironically is a color very close to the color I have selected for my bedroom for my last two apartments.  A pale blue grey is very calming and definitely a great color for an environment that should be your haven.

You can find a 12 month guide exploring every month and everyday of the year and find your birthday color on the Colorstrology website. Take a look at your personal color and see how close the description comes to your personality!
